Tap at Wildeman, Amsterdam: Dark brown coloured Belgian Dubbel-style with an German Dunkel appearance. Roasty malts taste with an faintly hint of caramel.

Bottle. label says 6%. Dark brown color. Roast, cellar notes and sulphur in the aroma. Roasty caramelly sweetish flavor with sulphur and hints of milk chocolate. Cellar aftertaste. Dirty mouthfeel, poor balance.

Bottle shared at Chriso’s mid-week lasting 03/07/14. Aroma is candied sugars, hairspray, alcohol, belgain yeast and toffee. Red / caramel coloured pour with a small fleeting cream coloured head. Flavour is caramel, unrefined brown sugars, slight orange, belgain phenols. Palate is semi-sweet, and fluffy effevescent carbonation.

Bottle at Chriso going Dutch tasting, 03/07/14. Clear dark chestnut brown with a moderate light beige covering that retains well. Nose is toffee, musty, spice, brown bread. Taste comprises toffee, earthy presence, dark fruit rinds, light must. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok.

Craig on Heat Tasting at ChrisO’s. Clear deep amber beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is light and very airy. Mild fine carbonation. Sweetish caramel malts, touch of cream. Light vanilla and dried fruits. Airy finish. Not bad.

Bottle shared at chriso’s. Pours cherry-amber with a creamy, off-white head. The nose has some bread, toffee, ripe fruits. Medium sweet flavor with creamy toffee, toasty bread, caramel, dates. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sticky, toasty sugars on the finish, some further caramel and toffee. A bit one-dimensional but quite tasty.

Draught @ Biereloth 2012. Opaque red-brown color, small beige head. Smell malts, a bit sweet, a hint of caramel. Taste malts, a bit sweet, again some caramel, strangely enough some wood. Fairly nice actually, better than expected. Medium body and carbo. Quite decent.

Bottle shared from ABC Beers. Pours hazy brown with a small off white head. Aroma of light fruit and chocolate. Flavour is medium sweet, light bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle 330ml.ABV: 6.0%. Hazy matt medium amber colour with a average to large, frothy and open, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, dried fruit, moderate yeasty, spicy. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
