12 oz waxed bottle pour. Pours a hazy yellow color. Not much head, though this beer exploded out of the bottle. Sour lemon aroma. Sour lemon fruit flavor with some straw like flavor and a bit of popcorn kernel. Very interesting beer. Very sour, which I love. Great beer.

Golden coloured body with a touch of a white head. Aroma of sour grapes, hay, yeast, coriander seed and a hint of more sour scents - nice. Light to Medium-bodied; Assertive grassy and sour grape flavours at first that mellow out to a more distinct earthy and grassy herbal flavour of malt and a little bit of sweet apricot and peach flavours at the finish. Aftertaste shows some of the sour qualities, but more of a refined and slightly soured golden ale more than anything else. Overall, a decent complexity, but nothing rivaling the world class sours out there. Still, great to try and well worth trying if you can find it and you like the style(s) involved! I sampled this pint on draught at Mellow Mushroom in Denver, Colorado for US$6.00 on 08-June-2014.

Sample at Freshcraft. This brew pours a clear yellow-gold color with a thin white head that burns away quickly to an outer ring. Spotty lacing on the glass. Fruit, yeast and malt in the nose. Light-bodied with flavors of tart citrus, funky yeast and earthy malt. The finish is moderately tart with a lemony aftertaste. Above average overall.

Draft - Salty sour lemon. Pale yellow gold with a thin head. Light lemony tartness. Very mild, more like a Berliner Weisse than a gueuze. Still nice though.

Tap at Freshcraft - turbid straw color - minimal lacing - nose is white vinegar, sour apple, light cheesy funk, white grape, lactic tartness - flavor is quite tart, mostly of the lactic variety, tasting very much like a berliner weisse - some white wine character, moderate earthy and cheesy funkiness - mild acetic/vinegad notes on the tail end, but otherwise actually a pretty approachable and fairly complex sourthat is most closely akin to a berliner - just wish they wouldn’t call it a gueuze.

On tap at Freshcraft. Pours a clear yellow gold with paperthin white head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is strong granny smith apples, funk, and oak. Thin mouthfeel with nice apple puckering sour, nice light funk. So damn sour, very amazing stuff.

Wine glass draft at Freshcraft in Denver, Colorado. The pour is a hazed yellow light gold, with a crackly small white head. The aroma is soft lactic citrus sour nose, really develops as the beer warms. The taste has a nice bright, fresh orange / grapefruit citrus sour flavor. The palate is light to medium bodied, with spritzy carbonation and the bright clean sour finish. Nice stuff, straight forward, but well made and really easy to drink.

On tap at brewpub. Aroma is very Brett and gueuze forward with a surprisingly large amount of barnyard funk and oak. Light citrus and phenolic notes. Pours a cloudy pale yellow-gold with a moderately thick white head with average retention. Flavor is fairly acidic with a light acetic character and moderate amount of lactic acid. The acidity tastes a bit doctored, but isn’t too bad. Moderate lemon notes, but not much Brett character in aroma. Light wheat character. Mouthfeel is medium light bodied with medium carbonation. Low acidic astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall a surprisingly good beer; I only wish the flavor lived up to the aroma. The acidity is a touch harsh, but pretty damn good for 7 days.
