Crisp and fruity with a hint of honey, this ale brewed with Michigan cherries is light on the palate, yet full of surprising depth and flavor. The cherries contribute a tart fruit character, while a touch of honey adds a slight sweetness.

If you live in New England and if you need a change of pace. I would only get this on tap ONLY. that being said...you need to love cherries. If you do, try this. It is not a Lambic by any means, but it does ok. The cherry flavor is a hint, not an answer to this beer. The powerful Sam Adams hops comes thru well. My only disappointment is that the cherry flavor is "artificial".

12 oz bottle into Trappist glass. Very aromatic beer here. Strong maraschino cherry in the nose--some tartness, also. Pours a slightly hazy gold with a medium dissipating head. Taste is all sweet with no bitterness. Slightly tart. Medium-high carbonation. Medium body. A very good fruit beer that is once again unfairly maligned on this website just because it’s a "fruit beer."

This is one of those "love it" or "hate it" beers. Nice golden amber pour. Nose is cherry bushels. Taste is strong cherry and wheat. I’d probably give this closer to a 3.0 today. Rated 11/29/2000

Refrigerated bottle poured into a glass. Pours a brownish golden color with small off-white head. The taste is cherries and a good american wheat. The aroma is cherries and wheat. To me it seems pretty balanced and that the cherries are not as overwhelming as some have rated. It is pretty good beer.

Bottle. Poured a clear gold with a strong reddish hue and a thin white head. Aroma had a combination of wheat, sweet cherries and honey, not particularly well balanced. Flavor was sweet from the cherries mostly and the wheat was more in the background.

Overall Impression: One of the Sam's you see all over the place, and not one of my favorites. It's too fruity and sweet and cough syrupy for my taste.

Bottle. Hazy golden-amber color with a medium, rather stable, beige head. Aroma of sweet, slightly artificial, cherry juice. Weird bittersweet flavor with some medicinal cherry flavoring, some wheat and a bit of fruitiness. Light-bodied. Not very good.
