0,33l bottle at home bought from Saveur Biere (I think). BB 12/2022. black color, small dark coffee-colored head. smells green herbal, chlorophyl, earthy, some peat, some coffee, bitter chocolate. I am not big on peat, but this has a very nice smooth smell. full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes green herbal, peppery, light chilies, peat, earthy, leathery, milky, light vanilla. finishes dry and roasty with notes of earth, some peat and peppery notes. quite smooth and enjoyable one (I usually dont like overly peated beers), but this has a great balance, the green herbal notes are a bit werid, but still great beer. another Emelisse achievement.

Bottle [thanks bierkoning!!] @ home. Opaque pitch black color, medium sized dense brown colored head that lasts for quite a while. Aroma is malts, bourbon whiskey and light peat. Taste malts, bourbon, whiskey, peat, iodine, "fingerpaint" I used as a kid, light sweetish hints yet mild malt bitter notes in the finish. Oily texture, full body, moderately carbonated. Very nice!

200 ml. draft @ Billiees Bier Kafétaria. Black, small tanned head. Nose is richtly alcoholic, low varnish, malt syrup, peated profile is huge, carrying actual Islay whiskey notes. Taste is huge on the whiskey, no crude peat, actual great Bruichladdich profile with roast, thick malts in the back, molasses, low iodine. Thick syrupy body. Bruichladdich is very heavy but it carries actual whiskey profile with a very thick malt base, very close to being a pure mess & undrinkable. Amazed that this actually works, very nice, being a fan of Bruichladdich is essential in order to enjoy this.

Heerlijk bier.

A black beer, a head is medium and light brown. Aroma has salt liquirice, peat, some smoke and scotch, also some sweetness of dried fruits. Taste has roastiness, salt liqurice, some peat and wooden dryness. The sweetness is balancing the barrel. The taste is more balanced than aroma. Almost fulldied, not stickyness, low carbonation. The barrel is quite dominating, but not too much. Good beer.

Smaken zijn stevig turf, gebrande en geroosterde mouten, veel alcohol, scherp, chocolade, veel whisky, volle body, lange afdronk...
