Well, I've passed this bottle by many times because I thot I already tasted it. But no! Here goes: Pale off yellow with an orange tint, chunks floating around. Taste is almost IPA but not quite. Seems to have quite a personality. Mild hop perfume nose. Gets more like an IPA as the session continues. Not impressive at first but finishes with a big bitter ending. Yes, now I'll say it can qualify as an IPA. Does not hide alky well and to say this is sessionable is a misnomer.

Tasty pale ale, big on West Coast pine-n-citrus hops, but offering up a gentle malt sweetness that pairs nicely with the bitter back end. Starts with a good mix of caramel and cereal grains, then takes up moderate grapefruit and orange notes before developing a sticky, resinous pinecone finish. Creamy texture remains sparkly enough to pad the IBUs on the fade. Nose lacks much oomph, but the pour's absolutely gorgeous, coming out a clear gold with a thick, lasting white head and tons of lace. Great go-to pale.

Bottled 355ml (Beer Republic EU)
Hazy orange colour, small steady white head, Aroma has apricot and some citrus. Light to medium-bodied. Front has grapefruit, then sweetish fruityness and citrus. Lingering fruity bitterness in the aftertaste. Could be a bit more fresh for its full potential.

12 ounce bottle. Hazy Amber orange color is topped by a frothy beige head. Rich malty nose hints at caramel. Tangy toasted malt flavor. Highly carbonated. Sweet fruity notes. Citrusy hops. Good balance.

Bottle from Beers of Europe, drunk at home. Deep gold, looks a tiny bit hazy. Lots of visible carbonation and a big white head. Pineapple, apricot and lemon biscuit in the aroma. Lovely bitter taste, almost too bitter but it pulls back at the right moment for a balanced finish. Fresh nectarine in the aftertaste. Slick body, not over-carbonated. Delightful.

This is a great pale save for one thing: I don’t like the hop profile. I mean dammit its near perfect in its construct, clean dry malts with a solid hop presence, pretty balanced, semi-dry finish, everything a good pale ale ought to be, but that citrus hop also features a woody/herbal element that I often find in cascades and beers like Fat Tire that are a real turnoff. So yea some serious mixed feelings on this. Purely subjective of course, but that’s what ratebeer is all about wub a dub dub

From tap. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is fruity, slight floral. Fruity, slight sweet impression. Bitter, fruity and crisp hoppy into the far finish.

Bottle from Terre de Boissons Calais and drunk at home. Hazy orange amber colour lasting cream coloured head. Pine resin hop aroma. Malts are ok solid enough not too sweet or over the top. Good orangey hops on the finish. I thought a rather good hoppy fruity American Pale Ale. Some bitterness. Tangerine flavours. A little perfume hop. Good.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear orange gold with small white head that lasts. The aroma is resin and pine. Medium body, citrus, pine, lingering resin finish, good.
