Hopulent IPA is a big beer with lots of complex malt flavor and excessive hops. This beer will have changes to the grain bill and seasonal hop changes. The character of Hopulent IPA is over the top, too much of everything—a real HOP HEADS DELIGHT!

Tap at the Watering Hole. Cloudy, light amber colour. Very bubbly and creamy off-white head. Aroma full on resinous hops. Also lots of citrus, lemon and grapefruit. Spicy malt. Initial taste is pure lemon washing up liquid but after the initial shock much nicer. Think the bubbly texture didn't help. Lots of bitterness, lots of spicy maltiness, Leaves a prickle in the mouth. Not outrageously bitter, but pretty bitter. Some malt sweetness comes through. Classic double IPA, not so much exciting about it, but perfectly nice. 5/10/13 Had again at Keyaki and preferred it. Grassy and citrus hoppiness. Alright.

Very surprised and pleased to see this brew over on the Californian coast: 20th Jan 2018, poured from the tap myself in Pizza. Beer. Laguna Beach. Hop centric brew with plenty going on; misty orange body, white crown on top. Piney, resin like aroma and taste with a citrus twist to both the nose and flavour. Good alcohol kick within the brew, liked it.

I guess this goes here since it didn't say anything particular on patrick's menu. It did taste like citra, like the other hopulent. Pale yellow. Flat, on nitro, weird. Some mild hop perfume on the nose. Nice lacing. Big and bitter from the start. Has those typical chewing on green citrus grapefruit rtinds attitude about it. Never rises tot he case of a real imperial or double IPA, just straight up IPA fer sher. Difficult for a bubly lager lover to enjoy. So, why do it? Because its there!

Aus der Flasche auf der Berliner Biermeile 2013 getrunken. Oh ja sehr schöne Grapefruitnoten in der Nase und am Gaumen, doch ein kleines bißchen zur bitter um mich so richtig zu begeißtern zu sein.

Pours creamy yellow, sticky beige foam and slight haze. Aroma is sweetish, you can feel that they were not stingy on the malts, this reveals quite decent and powerful body - and hints higher ABV. Sugary tropical fruits. Taste is nicely hoppy, hops are balancing the sweetness but well, it still shines through. Herbal and grassy feel, some ripe peaches and pears underneath. Pretty good but a little to sweet for me at this moment for some reason.

Bottle to glass. Pours clear copper with moderate white head. Moderate piney and resin hops. Generally very tasty, but as it warmed it became rather malt driven and slightly cloying from the malt and sugar.
