Pours a dark amber color with a medium lasting off-white head that eventually goes to an outer ring. Aroma of toasted malt, caramel and hops. Medium body with flavors of roasted malt, resiny hops and citrus. A little darker fruit too. The finish is grassy hops with a lingering fruity aftertaste. Good all around.

12 oz bottle into snifter. Pours a hazy ruby red hue with a medium beige head that falls in a couple of minutes, leaving a ring and some lace. Aroma is grapefruit rind, alcohol, grain. Taste is bittersweet and sour. Has a bready, smoky character. Carbonation is medium, body is full. Not bad.

This brew is one killer red. It wants with all its heart to be Scottish, to be malty and toffee-centered and kilt-clad, but the hops smash these aspirations all to pieces. In a good way. Red Rocket balances a rich, sweet caramel malt front with a prolonged, Cascadian finish, bitter and piney and vital to keeping this brew from devolving into a syrupy mess. Perfect for a hop fix without any IBU brutality.

Bottle at a tasting. Thanks David Cohen. Dark hazy red with a beige head. Aroma of somewhat stale hops with piney notes, some malt, caramel, a bit of fruits, and oxidized notes. Flavor starts sweetish with caramelly malt and light toastiness, continues bitter with quite a bit of slightly piney bitterness. Medium-bodied.

At a tasting, thanks David, smallish head, very deep and quite clear red colour, aroma jam, nuts and oxidised notes, flavour of tea, barnyard and dried fruits, strong empathic but quite mellow hoppy bitterness, long bitter aftertaste. Probably a bit past its prime but still quite good.
