Pour is a hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is a stong hop with a touch of malts in there, I also detect some sour apple. Flavor is fruit and citrus with some earthy moss in there. A very tasty and satisfying brew.

An orange beer with a beutiful off-white head. Both the aroma and the flavor are sweet and quite hoppy.

Bottle Poursa a hazy dark orange/amber wht a small off white head. Sweet fruity caramel aroma. Oranges and apricots maybe. Flavor is a bitter dark grain with some of those apricot type flavors again. Late lingering biterness. Nice rich feel.

I have been pretty fond of the products I have tried from this company, and as I was recently on an ESB kick I went out an got myself a bottle of this one. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a cloudy copper color with lots of floaters and a small yellow-tan head. The aroma is bitter and malty and a bit sharp. The flavor is smooth, lightly malty, bitter and had a dry hop finish.

Brownish amber, clear, very small head. Orangey, resiny nose. Dry with hard, clean, firm maltiness. Intensely hoppy & bitter. Flawless, but one-diemnsional.

Deep amber with a nice bitterness with some good grapefruit added. However the body lack complexity and falls a bit flat.

Full 12 oz. Bottle, 14 Nov. ’05. As good an ESB as I’ve found, frankly, though I’ve probably not had that many. Golden body rendered a bit cloudy from floating particulates. In a Bitburger glass, it offers a thick, fluffy off-white head that helps concentrate a lot of nice hop flavor, Not sure what distinguishes this from an APA, per haps that there’s a sharp Northwestern hop profile, but it tends more towrd the English side, too; just tasty bitterness over a citrusy subnote. Malts and alcohol are nice and smooth in contrast to the hops. More western in character than, say, a Goose Honker’s Ale. Just great beer drinking pleasure thoughout the glass.Original rating 3.6, with sampler-sized taste from bottle, 12 Jan ’04. First of several bitters sampled at our homebrew club meeting, so my notes are not copious: Light brown color with thin head. Bitterness is more "straight," like a traditional bitter, with less of a hoppy nose, at least IMHO.

(draught) Medium-strong tea colour; dark creamy head. Rather hoppy nose with a slight cookie smell as background. Tast is hoppy too, well dosed on enough crystal)like malts. Very hoppy - very USA - finish. Well bodied. Nice 'ESB', maybe a tad heavy on the USA hops.

Pours a nice red/brown. Not very clouded and has a foamy indistinct head. Very dry for an ESB. Bitterness is there, but it comes out towards end. Has some hop character that I think is a bit out of place for this beer. I detected alot of what I could describe as orange malt. Again, in a dry way, this was odd. I would like something a little flatter and perhaps more sweetness. I think they got a little too carried away on the hops here. Carbonation isnt overly bad, but could be less. Needs more body.
