Opaque dark brown - black beer. Big pale cream - tan head. Palate is light and minerally crisp. Super smooth dark malts, no roast or bitterness. Light malt cream and bubblegum ester. Nice candy sweetness underneath. Very light spice. Nice touch of mellow citrus before a smooth and semi dry finish, Comes together well. Tasty.

Very dark ale, almost like a german dunkel. Aroma is slightly sour and smoky. Appearance is sort of dull, and taste is mildly bitter, with some nice dark roasted malt. A different sort of Belgian ale.

Bottle @ home. Had this beer at home for a while now. Somehow i wasn’t very eager to taste it but here we go. Dark brown with some ruby effects, medium beige to light brown head. Smells raisins, sweet, malts, slightly alcoholic. Tastes sweet, some iron in the taste, malty, raisins and some oak wood. Medium body, good amount of carbo.

(Bottle, Brasserie Lombard, Brussels, 19 Oct 2012) Dark brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with toasty grain, dark bread and caramel. Malty, roasted taste with notes of caramel, dark bread, raisins, brown sugar and a finish with a balanced sweetness and a mild bitterness. Almost full body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty and balanced. Quite nice.

33cl bottle @ home. Lovely deep dark red glare coming through an -at first sight- black colored beer. Medium to full sized beige head that lasts and leaves a fair lacing. Taste malts, dark malts, some dark fruits, lightly sweetness, lightly bitter. Medium carbonation, medium to full body. Nice beer.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours an almost clear nutty brown with a beige head. Sweet nutty and fruity nose with friendly phenols trappist style. Solid body, quite some warming alcohol, overripe fruit notes, nuts and a little yeast. Warming alcohol in the finish. 260911

Bottled as Bobeline Black Label. A deep red beer with a tan head. The aroma has notes of caramel, alcohol, and dusty hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, spices, malt, yeast, and a bit of wood, leading to a dry spicy finish. The body is light. Thanks yespr for sharing.
