Sampled from bottle @ The Hague tasting. Murky yellow color, medium sized white head. Aroma and taste are quite hoppy and malty, some pine and nicely bitter. Lingering bitterness. Medium body and carbonation.

Bottle at the "Lets celebrate the fact that Dean is already the Mayor of M&S Den Haag even though it’s only been open for 24 hours tasting!". Poured a hazy medium amber with a big frothy white head. The aroma is grassy hop citrus. The flavour is light bitter with a watery malt light hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Nice enough but lacks the bitter hops to make it a great.

75cl bottle sample @ BAB’14.

Sampled bottled @ Brugs Bier Festival 2014. That name is sure a mouthful, it was just called “Invasion” in the booklet which sure is a whole lot easier to pronounce. Dark orange, white head. Huge orange hops, quite medicinal smell, herbs & child aspirin (flavoured kind). Taste is bitter medicinal with plenty of that aspirin, herbs, chemicals, bitter hops finish but restrained still. Full body. Odd profile.

No head left; unclear orange beer with a greenish sheen. Dry hopbales, very nice hops, if to the exclusion of anything else. Grapey, dry hops, bit liqueurish flavours, straw, grass. Very refreshing, medium bodied, well-carbonated despite the wood. Definitely one of the best continental IPA’s. A success!

1/II/14 - 75cl bottle @ Brugs Bierfestival - BB: n/a (2014-138) Thanks to the Belgian ratebeer crew for sharing today's beers!

Little cloudy deep orange beer, irregular off-white head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: very fruity, ripe mango, banana, dirty yeast touch in the back, some caramel and sugar. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: pretty bitter start, some citrus, grassy notes, slightly sweet and fruity. Aftertaste: pretty bitter, medicinal, somewhat grassy, dry ending.
