Mikkie = Cattivella is a Crème Brûlée Stout Brewed by Peter van der Arend & Giovanni Campari.
Mikkie = Cattivella is the housebeer of 'cause BEER loves FOOD, but also available at the other Morebeer bars; Proeflokaal Arendsnest, BeerTemple en Craft & Draft.
Stout is also the dutch word for 'naughty' which inspired Peter to name the beer Cattivella, which means 'cheeky' in Italian. And as far as the name Mikkie is concerned, well, Peter knows who she is.

On tap at Proeflokaal Arendsnest, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is intensely sweet, with artificial caramel, vanilla, and cocoa - this honestly doesn't smell too good. Flavour is thankfully better, with intense caramel, treacle, cocoa and brown sugar. No roast at all. Fun stuff, but all I could do is a few sips.

On tap at the beer temple. Pours black with small head. Aroma is a cocoa onslaught, with some dark malts. Medium to big body. Flavour is smooth and creamy, again the cocoa is really intense with dark malts in the background. Quite some spices intermingle, cinnamon and maybe some cardamom and anise. Crème brulé isn't wrong, though for me this is more like a cocoa stout. Lovely either way and very drinkable.

Aus der Flasche im 2018-05 getrunken. Dieses IStout wirkt sehr leicht und einfach trinkbar. Solide , aber auch nichts besonderes. Prost!

Tap @ Både &, Kristiansand. Black body with a nice, lacing beige head. Aroma has light roasted dark malt, chocolate and burnt toffee. Flavor are sweet with the same elements as found in aroma, pleasant bitterness. Full bodied and long lasting, smooth aftertaste. A very fine stout where the Crème Brûlée is toned down to be more balanced than what I have experienced in a few other beers with Crème Brûlée in the name. They all smells good, but where often found way to sweet and one-dimensional. This one is a lot more complex and is without doubt more beer than additives. Delicious.
