750mL batch 2 bottled March 2014, drunk 2/8/18. Good clarity to this well-carbonated, deep bronze-copper-brass-golden beer. Still a large, white, well-retained head. Maltier than usual in the nose and extremely Brett-forward with light acetic and even, soft oak and lactic character. Malts seem pillowy and supple behind everything with a touch of cereal character, as well. Well-balanced and no alcohol or flaw. In the mouth it's still lively and perfectly carbonated. Great balance with tons of cherry and lime-like Brett notes. Has gained some lactic sourness over time and comes off more as a sour/wild ale with the saison characters now obscured, especially by the strong oak presence. No alcohol or flaw with a rich, creamy texture, great malt character and lingering lactic acidity and oak. 750mL batch 3 bottled December 2014, drunk 1/14/23, thanks Willrunforbeer! Clear brassy-maize-copper. Small, white head. BIG brett nose, oh yeah. Lots of bready malt, of course with big vanilla. Lemon and vanilla...no alcohol. Ok this is probably well past its prime. Soft, malty, lots of vanilla, pepper and bread. Malty, oxidized, bready. Eh, this is good and fruity and bretty but just too old with some bile and such.

Thnx to geert ! Pours unclear blonde, small white head. Smell is funk, citrussy, bit woody, dry, mild usa-saison style acidity, brett. Taste is full, citrussy, brett, funk, woody, trough the brett. Very balanced and well made.

750ml caged and corked bottle. (Batch #5) Pours a cloudy gold-yellow with tiny yeast particles floating around and a large, foamy, long lasting, white head that leaves curtains of lace. Fruity aroma of tangerine, lemon, orange, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, wheat malt, Brett, yeast, oak and black pepper. Sweet fruity flavour of lemon, orange peel, tangerine, lime, grapefruit, apple, pear, peach, pineapple, white wine, Brett, black pepper and grass with a dry, tart, slightly acidic finish. Light to medium body with an oily texture and average carbonation. An excellent saison. Very refreshing and tasty.

Pours slightly hazed gold into a shaker. Bright white head with excellent retention recedes to coat surface. Lemon and Brett aromas. Sharp with lemon peel and sourdough upfront turning to tart Brett before the medium length earth finish.

Tap into a wineglass showing two fingers of clean white foam with moderately filtered bright yellow. The nose shows light notes of bretty funk and Belgian yeast with a moderately intense bready malt backbone. The palate is light bodied and moderately carbonated. Clean and refreshing with a very light hollow malt backbone and a very mild bitterness on the finish.

(Bottle) Golden colour, slightly hazy, with big frothy white head. Fruity, spicy nose with notes of citrus, lemon, pineapple, grass, white bread, some oak wood and a light acidity. Fruity, spicy taste with grapefruit, lemon peel, white bread, grass, some spicy yeast, hay, a touch of wood and a slightly tart finish with a balanced citric/floral bitterness. Medium body, quite dry. Tasty, refreshing, slightly spicy and in perfect balance. Excellent saison.

2014 Bottle from Gambrinus...Batch 4 I believe. Pours a hazy gold with a finger of foam that lingers. Lovely apricot forward nose with pineapple and brett aromas. Clean and crisp with active carbonation. Lots of fruit that leads to a dry, fruity finish. Easy drinking and wonderful paired with food.
