On tap at Bunny Basher (Brodies Beer Festival) King William IV, Leyton, London, Friday 18th April 2014 Amber murky brown white rim, sour edgy nose. Lovely tart, tangy beer. Lovely with some sour citrus, perhaps grapefruit. Great, beer of the day so far. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov16 3.9

Bottle shared @ weekly tasting. Opaque murky orange color, medium sized white head that lasts for a decent while. Aroma is sweetish, blossom, sweet hops, maybe some herbs. Tastes about the same, kind of like a hyper-Belgian-triple. If they wanted to brew a Belgian beer, they’ve done exceptionally well. But it’s not my thing.

Bottle at Mr Hangover’s 2014 Nieuwjaarsborrel, Den Haag, courtesy of Denk. Poured a slightly hazy light amber with a thin white head. The aroma is grassy hop with lots of fruit. The flavour is medium bitter with a hoppy light mint zesty fruit yeast alcoholic spice palate. Medium bodied with lively carbonation and a bubbly rich mouthfeel. This was 4 years old and it had aged very well.

Bottle. An unclear, dark orange beer topped by a finger-thick, off-white head. The aroma is slightly milky, mostly fruity, and with some citrusy, piney hops. Some maltyness in the back. Citrusy flavor with some pale malts, then even more citrus in the flavor. A pleasant bitterness shows up, and lasts for a good while. Quite dry on the palate, full-bodied and pleasantly carbonated, with some warming notes from the alcohol. A beer I liked, but found a bit strange. Hard to put the finger on what it is, but there’s something strange going on. 111229
