Bottle from bottle park, Bratislava. Unclear orange golden color with small white head. Strong aromatic hoppy aroma. Taste, sweet malt, fruity notes, followed with citrus hops, grapefruit, grapefruit zest, resin. Medium long hoppy bitter finish. As beer good, as Weizen, bad.

Flaska@SB. Bärnstensfärgad något grumlig vätska. Något av en besvikelse på skumkronefronten. Dofter av skumbanan och kryddnejliga. Pepprig smak med alldeles för mycket beska. Obalanserad.

Bottle. Pours a golden color with a white head. Has a fruity spicy yeasty aroma with weak hints of banana. Fruity malty spicy yeasty flavor with citrus hoppy hints. Has a fruity malty spicy yeasty finish.

Slightly hazy golden color, small steady white head. Light piney aroma. Weizen yeast "kills" the most of the hops. Some banana notes, some hayish pineyish flavors. Yeast dominates, but has some lingering hoppyness.

Bottle from Asahiya. Served in a weizen glass. Drunk side by side with the pilsner of the yeast series. 6.3% I don’t get that, other than the trappist that is way too high for any style of beer in this series! Dark gold pour, I guess they choose a malt bill that would be mid-range for all styles. Crystal clear with tons of effervescent carbonation rising through the beer to a thick foamy head with great lacing & staying power. Lightly spicy aroma with a vague hint of banana & bubblegum, sweet but with no malts coming through. Interesting flavor-zesty almost citrusy fruitiness then some spice while the finish is quite dry & ascerbic for a weizen but it does have hints of banana & spice. I am wondering what the hopping was like for this series... hopped with Centennial & Amarillo hence the citrus and not so weizen like flavor those hops kind of fight against rather than work with the yeast. But overall not bad, not at all to style but it does showcase the yeast which is what it set out to do.

Bottle @ home. Batch #243. Dark amber, thick white head. Weizen-like aroma, but very spicy, clove, banana, yeast and muscot? Flavor has clove, pepper, yeast, hops. Sweet banana in the finish, peppery. Recognizable as weizen, but not the most typical. Not necessarily bad though.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Poured a clear, dark golden colour with a thin white head and some lacing. Aroma of peaches, wheat and marmalade. Chewy grain, straw and aniseed in the initial flavours. Finish was very bitter resin, citrus rind and dry grass.

Bottle sample @nieuwjaarsborrel. Thin white head. Hazy golden blond pour. Nice bitterness.

Bottle at Mr Hangover’s 2014 Nieuwjaarsborrel, Den Haag. Poured a clear light amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is big yeast with some zesty citrus. The flavour is medium bitter with a hop bitter citrus malt palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
