500ml Bottle (Thanks to my lovely girlfriend Kristiina :) ) - Black in colour with a lively head. Smoked and roasted malt aroma . Roasted and lightly smoked taste with smoked ham, coffee, chocolate and some light hoppy notes. Well balanced and very enjoyable. The smoked elements are noticeable but not overwhelming.

Had this sat outside the camper, Absalon Campsite, Copenhagen, 11-09-08 Nicely dry and without much smokiness that I was able to detect. Dark brown in colour really quite roasty, decent choccyness, will try another of my bottles at home.

500 ml bottle. Dark reddish brown body with a beige head. Aroma is slightly roasted malt with lots of smoke and tar. Flavor is roasted malt, some caramel, hops and a powerful smoked whisky flavor with peat and a hint of liquorices. This beer is not to heavy whiskey flavored and actually quite nice and easy to drink. I like the Bamberg flavor a bit better with this darker malty beer than the smoked lager version. Very pleasant.

Bottle at the RBESG08 Poured a murky red brown body. Very smokey nose, pancetta. Same continues into the taste... smoke, pancetta, some roast. Great smoke character 7/3/8/4/15.Rerate (2011): Oh, so I did have this one before. Cool. It poured a cola-like body with a grayish tane small head. Smoked cheese in the nose. Creamy, smokey roasty taste, not too aggressive. Light chocolate, some plums. And I did like it again. Yay! 7/4/7/3-4/14-15 (I’ll leave the original score be.

Bottle (RBESG 2008): Clear, reddish-amber coloured, small, persistent beige head; smoked meat, roast malt and dried fruits in the nose; quite dry bitter flavour, quite light bodied for abeer of 6.0%; dry bitter and smoky-malty finish with a touch of vanilla. Good, easy-drinking smoked......

(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of fiulijn. Pours a beautiful warm reddish brown with a creamy, beige head. Aroma of roasted malt with a piquant whiff of smoke. Medium-bodied with roasted malt, dried fruit and again smooth smoky accents. Very pleasant. 290308
