Our OG Imperial IPA, Dreadnaught ups the ante with intense citrus hop aromas, a huge malt body, and a crisp finish. Notes of pine, mango, and pineapple are balanced by A strong malt bill which creates a wonderful partner to the strong hop bitterness.

Bottle via trade with Drew. Pours clear amber with a large off-white head and some lacing. Aroma is muted; pine, herbal, grass and light caramel. Flavor is grass, pine, light metallic, light citrus, and malty bread and caramel. Medium bitter, lightly sweet, medium alcoholic bitter dry finish. Body is medium. May have been a bit past prime. Rerate with a fresher bottle, better citrus aroma, quite hot and bitter on the finish

Acquired this in a trade around DLD12 so itβs not as fresh as it should be. Enjoyed at fridge temp into a snifter.
A - Burnt orange with hints of brown. Nice clarity, no head.
S - Big citrus scent. Not as nice as it could be fresh. Certainly subdued compared to friend. Very intense toasted caramel scent.
T - Wow. Alright. Iβm getting orange peels, lemon zest and burnt brown sugar. Gigantic malt backbone and a hint of crystal. Big caramel finish.
M - 100% carbonation on the mouth swish. Medium high buddy.
O - Very good. Iβd love to have this fresh! Still, very drinkable. A bomber all to myself at 9.5%..oh boy.

On tap @ Mikkeller bar. This is a deep honey orange beer with a nice small dense off-white head. Strong piny hoppy and fruity as hell aroma, lots of citrus, sticky sweet caramel, pine cones, concentrated peaches juice and grapefruit. It's average carbonated with a thick and oily almost sticky texture. Lovely fruit hoppy flavors, really sweet also - but perfectly balanced after a while in the mouth. Lasting grapy bitter and fruity citrus finish with a hint of warming alcohol! Damn fine one and the last beer @ our Copenhagen trip for this time. 13.05.2012

Tap at Mikkeller Bar. It pours light orange, with a thin white head. The nose is tangerine, orange, grapefruit, resin, leaf, grass, pine, brown bread and a touch of farmyard. The taste is pine, leaf, grass, resin, alcohol warmth, orange, tangerine and grapefruit, with a warming, bitter finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Quite boozy actually. Good stuff, but itβs not the most drinkable IIPA Iβve had.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear gold with an orange hue and a tan head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of pine hops with a bit of grapefruit and underlying sweet grains. Flavor begins with very bitter pine hops witha good amount of backing sweet grains with a hint of underlying grapefrut.

Draught @ Mikkeller Bar
Aroma is hoppy and sweetish with exotic fruits and some resin. Flavour is extremely hoppy with biscuits, fruits, forest, pine needles and resin. Sweet feeling in the middle of a sip, but not sticky after all. Slight warming alcohol afterwards. Refreshing and nice.

Draught @ Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen
Pours clear dark orange with a smooth white head. Aroma of lovely fresh fruits, citrusy hops, lemon, caramel, toffee. Taste is very fruity with some sweetness, fresh hops, grapefruit, caramel, lemon and citrus. Finish is bitter and fruity. Extremely well balanced and tasty. Re-rated at Three Floyds Bar. Still quite tasty but I like the more fruity Permanent Funeral more.
