Bottle from the Yeast Shop. Good lookin ’deep dark brown pour with a dissipating tan head. Dark fruit, roasted malt, booze and spices showed up in the nose. Flavour had plenty going on, with liquorice notes and more dark fruit standing out initially, in addition to dark chcoolate and some roast ; then the alcohol and some well positioned hop bitterness got involved as things progressed towards the finish. Really tasty stuff that has bags of character.

Bottle at Het Oude Schooltje, thanks to Carlo. It pours darkest brown, with a monster tan head. The nose is Irn Bru, American cream soda, vanilla, cherry, varnish and Dandelion & Burdock. The taste is charcoal, caramel, Irn Bru, sesame seed, medicinal, mint, soy sauce, juicy cherry, vanilla, cola, oat and chocolate, with a sweet fruity finish. Some really interesting flavours in this one.

Bottle: Poured a deep black color stout with a super huge thick foamy head with great retention and very good lacing. Aroma consists of semi-sweet Belgian malt with great notes of fruity ester. Taste is also a nice mix between some sweet malt with nice fruity ester and light residual candi sugar notes. Body is quite full with nice creamy texture and good carbonation with no apparent alcohol. Another very nice beer from two of my favourite brewers.
