One of our favourite styles - American Brown Ale! Medium bodied with a solid backbone of malt richness. This is balanced with toasty and nutty textures from the roast chestnuts and finished with lashings of hops.

Clear brown beer. Fruity malt aroma. Fruity malt flavour as well with a bit of citrus kick. Quite rich. Very nice.

Cask at Grove, Huddersfield - Amber red body, thin head. Nose is sweet and caramel, sharpness and a bit of citric acid coming through too. Taste is a bag of nuts, with a citrus tang on the way out. Quite an interesting one this, didn’t know what to make of it.

Cask @ Old Gate, Hebden Bridge. Dark ruby-brown with a creamy, slightly off-white head. Has lots of darker but still sweet malts with roasted malt there as a hint in its taste, although much more prevalent in its nose. There’s some roasted malt in its aftertaste where the ale lingers pleasantly for long.

Bottle shared with JMD at HNB 17.05.15. Brownish, clear ruby. Beige head. Aroma of dried berries, dark chocolate and some citrus. Similartaste, with evident grapefruit and bitterness, b particularly in aftertaste. High quaffability.

Gode greier i bare 5%.
