Bottle @ home shared by joes. Slight gusher. Hazy copper with a small off-white head. Smells mint mostly, alcohol, absynthe. Tastes anice, very sweet, sugary. I think it has more like 7% abv. No way it’s 13%. Medium body, soft carbo.

Bottle at the Room 118 tasting, Tulip Hotel Bodegraven, post BBF 6 day 1 26/09/14 thanks to whomever shared this one. Hazed reddish amber with a moderate light beige covering. Nose is spice, dark fruit rinds, bitter sweet and sour, straw. Medium + body, fine carbonation, semi drying close. So so, lacks any depth for the ABV despite drinking well under it. Doesn’t really have any saison like qualities, kind of hot and sticky, Belgian Strong territory for me.

Very deep amber beer, hazy and with a tidy pale cream colour head. Palate is airy and mildly crisp. Smooth airy malts, sweet creamy toffee. Sweet candy fruits segue into mellow brandy tones, tangy. Sugary finish. Pretty sweet, even for me.

Bottle @ hotelroom tasting. Hazy reddish color, medium sized off-white head that lasts for quite a while. Smell and taste malts, sweetish, a tad weird. Decent body and carbonation.

26/IX/14 - 33cl bottle @ hotel room tasting Borefts 2014 (Bodegraven) - BB: n/a (2014-1119) Thanks everyone for sharing the bottles!
Bit cloudy dark amber beer, creamy beige head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: alcohol, sugary, banana, bit chemical, something off. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sugar, more sugary, little bitter, just sugar, some overripe banana, sugary, yeast and sugar. Aftertaste: yeast, sugar, overripe banana, sugary, banana peel, sugar, bit chemical, but mainly sugary. Dia-beer-tes. And can we stop abusing the style "saison" just to label anything you don't know where to put it?
