Fles thuis geprobeerd. Het is een donkerbruin bier met weinig schuim. Het heeft een echte chocoladegeur, de smaak is kenmerkend chocolade, droog en koffie achtig.

Bottle from M&S: Dark ruby red color with creamy tan head. Roasted aroma with some cocoa and vanilla. Same notes in taste. Decent.

Almost black, filmy beige head. Aroma is as promised chocolate, coffee. Medium body. Roasted malt & a little hops in finish. Worth of trying indeed.

Bottle from Waitrose, Glasgow. Not as rich and sumptuous as I thought itd be, quite a bit fizzier too with a milkier texture. Dusty chocolate comes through but not too overbearing. Overall not bad but expected more.

35cl bottle from ABCbeers, The Hague. Thick off white head. Clear deep burgundy pour. Lots of chocolate. Lovely!

Bottle at De Paas. Pours dark brown with a beige head. Aroma of big cocoa and chocolate, with roasted malt. Flavour is light moderate sweet and moderate bitter. Light medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Fra flaske på Cardinaltreff jan-12: mørk og fyldig porter med off-white skum som seg hør og bør. Mye sjokolade. Prøver den gjerne igjen.

Draught at Bishops Arms Järntorget, Göteborg.Sold as "Chocolate Porter" so I’m guessing it’s this one.On March 29, 3009Dark reddish brown color, hazy. Nice tan head. A bit woody, almost acidic, oak type scnet, in the back some chocolate and malt. Taste is chocolate and malty, better than the scent. Medium mouthfeel, low bitterenss.

Draught. Dark ruby red colour with small off-white head. Aroma is chocolate, mild vanilla as well as quite much raisins/plum. Also mild notes of birch sap. Flavour is quite much the same, chocolate, "coke light", and some slight wooden notes. Wooden aftertaste.
