Lager - American
Crisp and smooth, our golden lager is crafted from Midwestern malts and flaked with sweet corn. This is our most refreshing beer, with a mellow maltiness and a light, clean finish.

A golden orange lager with a thin lacing white head. A good malt base with nice caramel notes in aroma. In mouth, a classic pils, czech in style, with lots of hops, biscuitty malts, and a nicely oily mouthfeel. Medium bodied. Tasted at the Union Square location, Nov. 2006.

Clean yellow incolor. A light, crisp, and refreshing lager, though not entirely delicious. Light sweet malts, bread, and just the faintest citric hops.

Golden color, small white head. Malty, a bit caramelly and citrusy nose. Light palate. Light citrusy notes, pale malts. Quickly fading aftertaste. Ok craft "bulk" lager, but no need for another sample.

Light amber color; nice lace. Light aroma. Average body, light malt flavor, correct bitterness, really ordinary.

Sample at the Heartland Chophouse: Pours a clear golden yellow color with a thin white head with little retention, and very little lacing. Mild aroma of malt, hops and corn. Light-bodied and bubbly with mildly sweet malt and corn flavors. The finish is where the hops come through a little more, and the aftertaste is clean and lightly bitter. Not a bad Lager.

(On tap) Not that pale, rather dark golden in colour. As most Heartland Brews this hasn’t much of a head. Quite aromatic but suffering from a hoppiness that I find a bit too aggressive on the palate. Not that balanced.

Pretty good lager, clean and slightly peachy on the finish. Aroma is mildly hopped, not very strong. Dark yellow, light bodied. Fairly sweet but not much in the way of sourness/zing to it that I'd like from a lager.
