Bottle at the mondiale 2014. Copper pour, medium off white head. Light citrus, light pine, caramel malt aroma. Soft mouth feel, soft carb. Finish is medium bitter, earthy and malty. Again, light pine and citrus. Boring.

Bottle. Pours clear dark orange with medium foamy whitish head, grapefruit aroma, medium carbonation, lightly bitter taste with citrus aroma, thin body, medium bitter finish. Nothing spectacular, decent IPA.

Bottle: Poured a light amber color ale with a medium size foamy head with OK retention. Aroma of grainy cereal notes with dank hops is not very good. Taste is also dominated by weird grainy cereal notes with dank hoppy notes. Body is average with OK carbonation. Something is wrong with the malt bill, the hops profile or some of the other ingredients that were added but in any cases this is not something I would want to drink again.

A hazed amber Ipa with a thin mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with wet dog notes, oxidized. In mouth, a a sweet fruity malt with floral hops and resinous, oxidation, so-so.

Rich deep amber and copper coloured body with a ton of sediment all over the sides and bottom, all with a single one centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of rye, specialty grain, alcohol, starch, mild hops, yeast and some cleanser. Medium-bodied; Deep bitter hops with a lot of assertive grain and rye flavours with a bitterness, some light sweetness and a relatively flat flavour of grass, herbs and an assertive cleanser. Aftertaste shows some specialty grain malt, a little earthy and floral hoppiness and a minor sweetness of honey that fades fast. Overall,a pretty bad or dissapointing offering - not enough complexity and a rather bittering and pungent beer and not in a good way. Not really worth trying unless you like maca root or metallic and assertive flavours. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from New Beer Distributors in New York, New York on 02-November-2013 for US$2.25 sampled at home in Washington on 25-February-2014.

New Beer Distributors, NY 12oz ($2.25): Pours amber with a whitish head. Aroma is maca root, mellow fruitiness, and a hint of citrus. Taste is hoppy, but not particularly bitter until the astringent aftertaste. Kind of malty. Well balanced. I think the APA was better, but this was still good.

Tap at the Ginger Man, NYC, 18/05/13. Lightly hazed golden with a thin beige head that clears to a film. Nose is caramel malt, hops, sugars. Taste pretty much mimics aroma, hops, light grass, citrus, caramel malt forward. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light hop bitterness in the finish. Well balanced malt forward IPA.
