Bottle. Reddish brown with light chocolate colored creamy head, caramel aroma, caramel taste with a hint of vanilla, medium carbonation, medium finish with slight bitterness at the end. A bit thin bodied but not bad.

Some vanilla extract type false aroma and a light roast aroma. Pours light brown with ok head and lacing. Finishes a little bitter. Not super interesting. Average to fizzy carbonation. Tap at some bar I don’t remember then again in Philly.

Not bad. Vanilla in the aroma doesn’t mix as well as it does in the taste. Sweetness at first made me think of a baltic porter, but roast grains( and bitterness) are present under the vanilla. Slight bitterness on the palate, and overall mouthfeel is just a touch on the watery side. Otherwise, better than I expected.

Bottle @ home, picked up at RJs Fort Collins. Still deciding if I should "party" with Dunt. Pours a clear, deep reddish brown appearance with a light brown head. Spicy, sweet cereal, vanilla, chocolate aroma. Fairly sweet, Swiss Miss Hot Cocoa, vanilla, caramel candy, a bit woody/grainy flavor. Drinks pretty fucken good.

Bottle. A- Coffee, chocolate, vanilla, molasses. A- Black color, dark liquid, tan head. T- Malty, coffee tones, hints of vanilla. P- Full body, thick texture, flat carbonation, bitter finish. O- A strong tasting porter. The coffee tones take away from all the other tones that are in this beer.

Purchased at Albertsons in Vegas. Looks like cola with its clean brown colour. The head is fizzy, but stops halfway to create a thick beige coat, but not much lace. The vanilla is super light in this one. Mild chocolate and fruity malts aromas. Wet, almost creamy mouthfeel, but not. Again, a little chocolate in the taste, with just a tad of vanilla in the aftertaste. Goes down well, but laking character. Especially vanilla.

bottle - Dark brown pour, small tan head. It has a pleasant aroma dominated by the roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with chocolate and vanilla notes. It’s medium bodied and overall a pretty good sweet, chocolatey brew.

Bottle. Pours clear brown, small beige head, some lacing. Aroma is roasty, vanilla, toffee. Flavor is the same, medium sweet, obvious vanilla. Kind of like vanilla soda. Light body, soda like carb.

Vanilla gives it a smell of vanilla laced old aged lager. Nice and black in the glass and had a decent quick fading head. First taste is mostly vanilla, reminds me for some reason of another vanilla porter drink. Difficult at times to get down. Yes, perhaps if they let up on the vanilla a little it would be more civilized. Finish is vanilla flavored dark beer. Could perhaps use some more distracting co2.

Bottle from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours ruddy dark brown with a creamy/foamy light tan head. Fairly faint chocolate and vanilla aromas. Arguably medium body. There’s smooth burnt malt, and some chocolate, and a heavy dose of vanilla which dominates the not quite dry finish. Drinkable. Velvety? Arguable. It is smooth.
