Draft. A hazy amber beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of spices, malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of ginger, malt, chili, and malt, leading to a dry spicy finish.

On tap at the Barrier tap room. Clear gold with some cloudy, white head. Nose is big with spice, heavy ginger, heavy all spice, clove, some definite squashiness, a little lemon and even a bit of Asian-y lemongrass. Flavor has lemon, white pepper, ginger, cloves. Spicy finish. No hint of alcohol.

Tap at the Ginger Man, NYC, 23/11/13. Clear golden amber with a moderate off white head that clears to a covering/pond. Nose is pumpkin pie, spice, sweet fruit notes, toffee. Taste comprises earthy fruits, pumpkin bite, spice, metallic tang, sugars. Medium bodied, light spritzy carbonation, a little overcooked. Decent enough for style.

Location: Draft at Ginger Man NYC, 11/24/13
Aroma: The aroma is butternut squash, nutmeg, ginger, pepper, pumpkin pie spice, and pine hops
Appearance: The pours is a clear dark orange color with a thick, creamy off-white head
Flavor: The taste is a nice mix of spices, squash, a little sweetness, and medium bitterness
Palate: The body is medium, it has a nice mouthfeel, and a good dryness to the finish
Overall Impression: This one is a very very cool experiment and a really enjoyable beer. I'm not sure I would have guessed that butternut squash, lots of seasonal spices, and hops would make for a great beer combination, but. It totally does. Bonus point for excellent creativity. Nicely done!

An orange amber ale with a thick mocha head. In aroma, light caramel malt with smooth pumpkin spices, ginger, cinnamon and cloves, restrained. In mouth, caramel malt with good mix of spices, nutty roasted notes, well done. On tap at Brooklyn Pour 2013.
