Tastes a little grainy, possibly from the hemp seeds. Pours cloudy blonde with ok head and lacing. Finish sweet and crisp grainy. Not super exciting. Tap at C’est What Festival

Originally rated January 2006. This Canadian hemp beer pours a hazy golden colour with a medium white head. Lightly carbonated, with fast dissipation and good lace. The leftover that tops the brew is quite nice with bubbles, patches and streaks. The aroma is strong at first, with some bitterness, and then, grain cereal malt. Caramel malt in the mouth, with some kind of sourness in the middle. Hints of chocolat malt as well, and some bread. Well brewed, but nothing over-existing. All hemp beers I have tried so far seem to have an outdated sourness to them, and I am not fond of that. Found at the LCBO Depot on Bank street in the south of Ottawa.

Drought at Cest What? Light amber-yellow color, off white foamy head, sweet-sour taste, medium carbonation, long finish. Interesting but not special. --- Beer merged from original tick of Homegrown Hemp Ale on 11 Jul 2011 at 11:32 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 4 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 5. An orange beer with a white head. The aroma is sweet grainy combined with light notes of hops. The flavor is sweet with an OK hops presence giving it a touch of citrus.

Bottle from LCBO. Golden ale with a thin white head. Malty and lightly herbal aroma. Decent malt in mouth with nice hops and typical hemp floral notes, nutty, with pleasamt lightly oily mouthfeel.

Actually kind of similar to the rye - same muddy tannish colour and fair to middlin' character. Less spicy though, with freakin' goldings in the finish (how creative).
