Draught from R&H. Flattiish brown black pour. Not a ton of head. Some bits of fruit, and maltiness, light hops. nothing special here.

Warren draught, 12/24/24.
Clear, dark. Small, light tan head.
Raisin, dark chocolate, moderate roast and mild caramel. Lovely base malts with biscuity, not over-roasted barley. Clean, moderately fruity yeast.
Chewy with heavy dark chocolate. Coffee bean lingering alongside vanilla and mild caramel. Just a bit too roasty, I think, in flavor, though the texture is great. Lingering chocolate and mild dark fruit. Chewy, fruity, clean.

On tap at Kuhnhenn - Clinton, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out robust roasted malt, a hint of earthy coffee, and some dry powdered cocoa. Flavour is dry and bitter, with earthy powdery cocoa and moderate roasted malt. A bit rough, but there's a good depth to it. Solid.

Draught @ ChurchKey, Washington, DC
Pours black with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, licorice, chocolate, caramel and coffee. Taste is medium sweet and light to medium bitter with a long licorice, coffee and chocolate finish. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

On tap at Church Key, DC. A more or less black one, topped by a dense beige head. The aroma is rather roasted, almost burnt, with some dark dried fruit. It’s super smooth in the mouth, full bodied and semi-dry. Roasted malts, dark chocolat, some coffee grit and a roasted malt kind of bitterness in the lasting finish. Perhaps a bit sweet and burnt, but it’s a fine brew indeed. 150620

A deep dark stout with a thin lacing brown head. In aroma, smooth chocolate malt with mocha coffee, light vanilla notes. In mouth, a nice coffee and chocolate with light musty notes, light chocolate, acidity, a bit light but smooth. On tap at Rattle ’n Hum, Sept 21, 2012.
