American Pale Ale
Boulevard Pale Ale is a smooth, fruity, well-balanced beer with year-round appeal. A variety of caramel malts imparts a rich flavor and amber color, while liberal use of Cascade hops adds zest and aroma. Pale Ale is the first beer we brewed, and continues to be a perennial favorite.

355ml bottle from Alko Arkadia
Pours dark orange with a medium white head. Aroma of grassy fruits, hints of citrus, pine and caramel malts. Taste is sweetish and malty with some grassy hops and hints of citrus. Finish is quite malty and caramely. Decent, quite easygoing pale ale. Doesn’t taste very fresh, would probably be slightly better from a fresh bottle.

Big offwhite head. Clear amber body with light carbonation. Strawy grapefruity aroma with orangey notes. Dry-sweetish strawy orangey caramelly taste with resiny notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel with lingering astringence. Dryish strawy caramelly aftertaste with orangey resiny wooden notes. Nice, subtle, vivid, and highly drinkable, while at the same time full of flavour. Great session beer. (0.355l bottle, wine monopoly, web order.)

Shared 355 ml bottle, from the Norwegian importer. No ABV mentioned on the label. Orange to amber colour, large to moderate white head. Pleasant aroma of Cascade hops, hints of citrus. Plenty of carbonation in the mouth. The flavour is moderately hoppy throughout, fruity and piney notes, Nice and drinkable, but not outstanding in any way.

Shared bottle @ Patricks. Clear golden body with a big off-white head. Light aroma of mild citric fruit. Flavor is nice and light, pretty crisp, malt, moderate bitterness and some fruit. Medium body and aftertaste. A decent, pretty standard American pale ale. Nothing really special, just a fine thirst-quencher basically. Old school craft beer.

Flaska från SB. En trött flaska med trött humle. Drag av citrus och kokta grönsaker. Len, lätt munkänsla och en liten snäll örtig citrusbeska. Inget att skriva hem om.

0.355l bottle shared @ Boulevard tasting. This is a light blurry one, amber-orange in color and it has a small islandy off-white top. On the nose I get lot's of cardboard. A faint fruitiness in the background. Quite subtle and blend, and I did not like the wet cardboard. A bit sweet and sour in the flavor. It's soft on the carbonation and it has a light gliding oily mouthfeel. Soft grassy fruitiness also in the taste. It's quite floral with a soft gentle soapy bitterness. Tasting this, I don't feel that I have a great brew in my mouth. 01.10.2012

Bottle at Boulvard introduction tasting, Bergen. The beer has a slightly cloudy amber colour with an off-white medium head. The aroma is somewhat light, but is fruity with a touch of caramel, peach and hops. Feels a bit acidic. This is more present in the flavour that reminds me of sour berries, plums, wood, oak and leather. Is somewhat dry in the end. The beer has a soft and smooth mouthfeel, and a light to medium bitterness. An ok pale ale in my opinion.
