Bottle at the radikal whale slaying. Thnx to Anton. Pours black, no real head. Smell is bit sweet, some roasted malts, as well as some vanilla. Taste is full, intense, dark malts, sweet, chocolate, intense vanilla, roasted. Very nice ! Shame I don’t get the hazelnuts though.

Bottle shared at the Moeder Lambic cellar tasting 2015. Pours dark brown with a bubbly ring beige head. Aroma of massive hazelnut, booze, toffee, fudge and chocolate. Flavour is heavy sweet. Light full bodied with soft carbonation and an alcohol burn in the finish. Really tasty but a little too boozy.

Bottle thanks to Bruce and Minh. Pours a very dark brown with no head. The aroma is strong booze, toast, hazelnuts. Thick mouthfeel with strong hazelnuts, vanilla, booze, sweet finish, really enjoyed this one.

Draft at G.I. Black Friday tasting on 11/28/14. Aroma is chocolate cake dipped in bourbon, hints of vanilla and oak. The hazelnut doesn’t stand out to me in the nose.

Upfront shows the oak and bourbon flavors with a very mild burn of alcohol on the tongue. Backend shows more of the above mentioned chocolate cake and brownie hints. I find some hazel nut near the backend of the sip. The sugary sweet notes nearly over power the bourbon. Lingering roasted malts and chocolate after the sip. This is Diabetes in a glass.
