Sampled from 0.375 l bottle, 2004 vintage. Clear, golden red, no head. Sweetish, sourish-fruity aroma of cherries, raspberries, vinegar, oak and bitter almond. Slightly sweetish, moderately sour, quite fruity taste of caramel, cherries, oak, vinegar, bitter almond and hints of red grapes, followed by a medium long, rather tart, woody-dry finish. Almost medium-bodied, rather astringent and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, flat. Quite tasty, held up quite well, but shouldn’t be aged any longer.

Süß säuerlicher Geruch. Intensiv säuerlicher Start mit Noten leichten Noten von Honig. Weiche milde Getreidenoten, die Säure bleibt hintergründig aber scharf, spritzig, rund aber unsüffig. Vollmundig, langer Nachhall. Sehr gut. 10/9/12/10/12/11

Bottle shared with Zlotta and Koelschtrinker. Klares bernsteinfarbenes Bier. Geruch nach reifen Trauben, rote Früchte, leicht holzig, minimal säuerlich. Geschmack ist minimal säuerlich fruchtig, rote Beeren, Trauben, wenig Dörrobst, karamellig, leicht alkoholisch, toll.

Bottle thanks to Daniel. Pours a clear copper gold with no head. The aroma is cherry skin, funk, oak, vinegar. Thin, oak, funk, vinegar, lingering dry finish, held up very well, no oxidation, boozy, nice sweetness, really enjoyed this.

Bottle split at Kenny 20K, big thanks to Harrisoni, 15/01/16. Clear golden orange with a decent off white covering. Nose is vinegar strokes, tarte fruit esters, burnt cherry tones, straw, spice, fruit balsams. Taste comprises cherry balsams, rising acidity, funk, wood must, grain, damp hay. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, pissy strokes in the close. Ok ... but hasn’t aged that gracefully ... a touch raw.

Bottle shared at Kenny’s 20K tasting - London. Huge thanks to Ian for this oldie! Pours clear gold with a foamy, white head. The nose is all vinegar. Lightly sweet, sharply acetic, with strong vinegar character, vague fruity notes. Light bodied with average, spritzy carbonation. Finishes with more sharp acetic bite. A bit harsh overall. This one is most likely over the hill.
