Tap at Erzbierschof Zurich. Ah yes, the beer equivalent of dark chocolate. Very present in taste and aroma, but not sweet, some slight but still noticeable spiciness. Very nice!

Bottle shared at Moeder Lambic. Pours near black with a medium tan head. Aroma of roast, dark chocolate, overripe dark fruits, light veggie chilli notes and light coconut. Flavour is over moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle: Poured a black color porter with a huge dirty brown color head with nice retention and some good lacing. This bottle was indeed a major gusher as mentioned previously by other raters. Aroma of cacao is pretty intense with light chipotle flavours also noticeable. Taste is a very well balanced mix between cacao with light dry bitter notes with some lightly spicy notes from the chipotle. Body is about average for a porter with incredible carbonation which could be toned down. I quite enjoyed this one and liked the fact that the chipotle notes were more dominant than what I had previously tasted in the draft version.

This pours dark, smells amazing. Coconut is light and very well integrated with robust, pungent roast malt. Some dark chocolate and coffee. Average carbonation. Has a nice bit of spiciness that builds up on you. Creamy texture. Great balance. Tap at Festibiere Gatineau.

Carbonatation moyenne, corps moyen.

A dark brown porter with a thin brown head. In aroma, a nice chocolate nibs with grassy character, light Chipotle, mocha coffee, nice. In mouth, a nice bitter sweet chocolate with faint hot spices, light pepper, very pleasant. On tap at Festibiere d’hiver 2014.
