Shared bottle with the RBESG guys in Red Ant on 8th July 2016. Poured dark brown with thin tanned coloured head. Aroma was of roasted/toasted malts, other grains and chocolate. Taste is along the same lines, add a coffee flavour into the mix. Fairly smooth and slick on the tongue: slipped down very nicely.

--- Beer merged from original tick of Art Fosca Stout on 25 May 2018 at 13:42 - Score: 6

12oz bottle from a random farmers market in Barcelona pours a murky, deep brown with some creamy off white head. Nose has some milk chocolate, malt, mild toast, bread crust, a little caramel. Flavor is solid, although a bit sweet, caramel, some chocolate, some malt, a bit of molasses. Really needed a bit of bitter hop or bitter roast to balance.

Bottle from Barcelona. Dark opaque brown color, huge head, thanks for "Alvinne-style" gushing bottle. Ash and coffee liquer in the nose. Hints of vegetables. Light to medium bodied. Coffee, light vegetables, a bit inky, with light bitterness and alcohol. Average but not hopeless.
