Tap. Prohibition Pig, Waterbury, VT. Mostly clear, gingery red. Film of dense, beige head. Nose has fresh, leafy hop that comes across juicy, spicy and resinous. Light biscuit malts. Further notes of blood orange flesh and zest. Taste is zesty, spicy, resinous bitter. Some lip sticking sweetness. Medium body. Soft fizz. More spice on the finish. Nice one.

Draft at Hill Farmstead. 12 oz sample. Cloudy amber / brown, great head retention. Aroma is earthy grain, deep malt, light yeast.

The flavor much the same as the aroma, deep earthy grain, toasted caramel, mild pine like hints. Mouthfeel is good, fuller side of medium. Lingering earth and grains. Bitterness is in the medium range, piney.

Keg at the brewery taproom. Pours unclear copper-amber with a creamy, yellowish tan head. The nose holds lightly toasted grains, earth, orange rind and pine. Light to medium sweet flavour, with pleasant well toasted biscuits, earthy and piney bitterness, faint bitter leaves, dried berries. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Sturdy bitterness on the finish, with further piney hops, light sticky resin, grass, earth. Great stuff. Quite moreish.

Pronounced Hooga. This was on tap at The Reservoir, Waterbury, VT.
This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a dark red color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated at a nice pace. Light lacing stuck around the glass nicely.
The smell started off with some sweet roasted nuts blending into some citrus and piney hops. Caramel and toffee malts - delicate yet there. Very well balanced.
The taste was mainly sweet with a nice rounded corners of bready malts. Smooth lingering sweet and roasted nuts. Light smooth caramel malts in the aftertaste. Semi-dry nutty finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. Carbonation runs fairly light. Smooth malts lay down on my tongue nicely.
Overall, I say this was a really good Amber ale that I would have again.
