Doerak, Delft. Post-Ikea biertje. Fles. Erg milde geueze, ruikt enorm naar worst, dat helpt niet. Lekker paardestallensmaakje maar weinig pit. Beetje zoet/zwak zuurtje. Backlog from 2015/08/31.

Clear amber, stable and airy white head. Malty aroma with acidic and vinous notes. Malty, grapefruity and acetic flavour with a tart kind of bitterness in the finish. Dry and almost a little thin...

Bottle. Golden pour. Great aroma of horseblanket, grain and brett. Fresh sour taste of barnyard, old hay, oak, mild vanilla and tardy grain. Even filtered it’s great.

Bottle shared at home. Slight hazy orange golden with small white head. Light funk, old wood, lemon, dried apricot, quite herbal, cellar, dough, white grapes. Light sweet, under medium sour and light bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft but fizzy carbonation.

0.25 l bottle from ’De Bierkoning’, best before June 2016. Clear, golden amber with a medium large, fluffy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sourish, fruity-spicy aroma of oak, vinegar, old lemons and a bit of lovage. Sourish, fruity-spicy taste of oak, vinegar, old lemons and some lovage, followed by a medium long, tart and spicy finish. Thin to medium body, astringent and effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. This smells and tastes somewhat odd, a bit stale, but it clearly provides some similarities to the unfiltered version. This one is less appealing though, I prefer the black label by far. Totally unnecessary addition to the brewery’s portfolio.

amber colour, medium sized off-white head; aroma of caramel, balsamic vinegar, tart, some peach, dried cherry and plum, earthy notes, maybe some woody notes, as well ; very well balanced bitterness, sourness and sweetness in the taste with fruits (dried cherry, mostly) , hints of citruses, and tart; excellent gueuze

0.75l bottle, courtesy of SinH4. Rather thin for a gueuze. Some funk, but rather weak altogether. Still not a bad beer, of course! Rerated in May 2017. A sweet gueuze with lots of oak and wood. Increased one point on Aroma, palate and overall, 3.6 -> 3.9.

Clear golden-orange color with white head. Aroma is funk, sweat, apples. Taste is similar, with a slightly metallic finish, also a bit bitter. Not comparable to the Black label, a bit thin. Rather soft carbonation.

Bottle at a tasting in Rome 4:20 pub on 27/08/2015, thank you Mortlach and Dino. 2012 vintage bottle. Pours an orange filtered color, bright with a little white foamy head. Nose: soem amber-caramel notes. Mouth: light sourness, malts, watery, easy. Quite good!

Bottle from Appellation Wines. Appearance - amber with a decent thin head. Nose - apples and wood. Taste - sour apples, light wood. Palate - close to medium bodied with a tight tangy texture and a dry finish, but I’ve definitely had much drier. Overall - good but this style should be a bit drier.
