Bottle shared with Ashton McCobb. Cheers Ash! Pours clear golden amber with a thin white head. Aromas of apple, wood, peach. Taste is very appley, cider, wood tannins. Sour tangy finish, with a paracetamol edge.

375 ml bottle @ Patricks. Can’t really believe I have forgotten to rate this one. Anyway there is always a good excuse to have another bottle of this one. Geuze seems to go pretty well in combination with most food and this time I had it with my Irish stew at Patricks, not a bad match at all. The beer is unclear golden with a huge, stable, white head. The aroma is very nice, with all the elements from a good classic geuze, but a bit mellow and almost extreme balanced, nothing stands really out it just a pleasant combination of sour fruit, mild acid, and funky barnyard. The same goes for the flavor, nothing extreme, nothing disturbing, might even feel a bit lame for the sourheads, but I think it’s really impressive to make this full blooded geuze this smooth and easy to drink. This will make it a perfect match for a lot of different food without any disturbing flavors. A classic, even if I prefer the unfiltered black label version just a tad better.

Bottle shared at Beavertown - many thanks to Daniel. Pours clear gold with a foamy white head. The nose has some grassy notes, ripe citrus, melon. Light sweet flavor with some tangy citrus, drying wood, grass, soft funk. Light bodied with average carbonation and massaging carbonation. Good balance in the finish, with further grassy bitterness, citrus, mellow funky twang. Great stuff overall. Very drinkable.

37,5cl bottle. Poured deep golden, thin white head. Quite funky with apples, horse blanket aroma. Sweeter flavor, mild funky with apple cidery notes, brown sugar, earthy notes. Dry finish. Drink cold , then the sweetness disturbs less.

0.375l bottle. Slightly hazy orange body with a white head. The aroma has a combination of sweet (caramel, brown sugar) and sour (brett, cider). Taste of cider, brett, caramel, toast and grapes. It’s also a bit salty. Very nice.

Draught at Taphouse, Cph. Clear, amber colour with a thin, white head. Tart aroma with citrus, yeasts, spices, sour fruits, some barnyard. Taste is sour. Medium body with a slick texture and a soft carnonation. Lasting tart and dry finish with sour fruits and yeasts. Very enjoyable geuze, not the most complex of its kind.
