Tap at the brewery. Alright, bit uninspiring. Medium bitterness, malty. Citrus, pine. Personally would prefer a bit more maltiness though.

Cask at the Port Street Beerhouse, Manchester on 29th September 2016. Clear copper with buff foam affording full lacing. Spicy, grassy hop aroma with tangerine and apricot. A rich hoppy kick in-mouth with grass and spicy fruitiness. Bitter grassy finish with savoury notes. A smooth, light mouthfeel and light body. Absolutely exquisite.

Navigation Tavern Spring Beer Festival 2016. Clear copper coloured with a creamy head. Hoppy in the main, with a light malty influence that makes it a robust, but tasty ale with a very palatable texture.

Tap at the Cock Tavern. Poured a clear dark brown with a thin broken off white head. The aroma is light grassy hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a dry coffee malt, spice hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with soft carbonation. More like a black IPA than a brown ale.

Cask at the Cock. It pours darkest brown with a small beige head. The nose is charred wood, roasty, umami, soy sauce, cocoa and tar. The taste is bitter, charred wood, cocoa, earth, mild astringency, pine needles, bitter orange, grapefruit and ash with a very dry finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Soy sauce on the nose is a bit off-putting, but it tastes decent. Alright.
