Tap at the Cock Tavern. Poured a clear dark brown with a bubbly off white head. The aroma is roasted malt, toffee fudge. The flavour is strong bitter with a smoky roasted malt, coffee, spicy, liqourice palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Cask at The Cock. Pours dark brown with a tan head. Aroma is packing a lot of fudge, with rich sweet malt, toffee, milk chocolate. Flavour is heavy sweet and moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Like drink a finger of fudge. Lovely!

Draught @ [ London Craft Beer Festival 2014 ] @ Oval Space, 29-32 The Oval, London, Greater London, England, E2 9DT. [ As Howling Hops Black XX Superior No.2 ].Clear light dark black color with a small large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, moderate hoppy, licorice. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light heavy bitter with a long duration, licorice, roasted, grapefruit. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20140817]

Cask ale, 1/3 pint at the Cock Tavern. Patchy tan-coloured head. Almost black coloured body. Dark malty smell, caramel and dark fruits. Roasted malts with a touch of mid-sweet chocolate nicely joined by pine and mild dark spices. Malt bitterness to the ending. Medium bodied. Nice (Hackney, London 13.07.2014).

Keg at the Cock Tavern, 31/05/14. Extremely dark mahogany brown with a good sized light tan covering. Nose is light roast, pine, bitter citric rind, toasted brown bread, earthy hop presence. Taste comprises bitter hops, sticky tropicals, pine, dark berry fruit, tangy citrics, grapefruit rind. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying closed with an earthy cocoa rub. Solid CDA.

Cask at Cock Tavern, Hackney, London. A dark ruby/black coloured pour with a medium beige head on top. Roasty, hoppy, aroma. Tastes roasty, hoppy, pine, some grapefruit. Very nice indeed.

Cask at the Cock Tavern - London. Pours deep brown with a frothy, tan head. The nose has good milk chocolate, mellow roast, grapefruit, ripe orange. Medium sweet flavor with some baking cocoa, lightly dried citrus fruits, melon, orange. Medium bodied with fine carbonation; OK carbonation. Fairly sweet to finish with mild bitterness, some earth, toasty pine, ripe orange, brown bread. Pretty tasty stuff.

Cock Tavern. Keg. Light haze on this deep reddish amber beer, small pale cream coloured head. Palate is light and semi dry, fine carbonation. Very mild dark malts, traces of roast and cream. Nice plummy fruits in the mid. Piney hops carrying a touch of spice. Light semi finish and a mild bitter linger. Good one.

Cask at the cock hackney. Dark black / ruby red coloured with a thin light tan head. Aroma is nice sweet pine, lemon, and hedgerow berries. Some biscuit and caramel malts in the nose as well. Flavour is pine resin, citrus, mineral, biscuit. Good session black IPA. Flavours are nicely balanced. Medium bodied light sticky resin on the palate.
