Beer52 offering; as Blood Orange Pale Ale. 12 oz can (355ml) 5.2% ABV; BBE Sep 2021. Drank at home on 4th Oct 2020. Not overly impressed to be honest. Slight haze to the golden/orange body, weak white topping. Orange esters in the nose, orange front to the taste, all a bit 'wishy washy' though compared to the Blood Orange beers I've had from California's Orange County.

[12oz can of Great South Bay Blood Orange Pale Ale from Beer52, ABV 5.2%] A hazy straw coloured pour with a tight white head; aroma of yeast and coriander; fresh, sharp orange taste then a herbal bitterness; and a tart finish.

Foamy white head stayed on an unclear dull gold body. Malt & orange aroma. Medium bodied, nicely carbonated with a clean back. Orange, earthy, hoppy & zesty tastes. Standard

On tap at GABF, pours a clear yellow gold with small frothy white head. The aroma is blood orange candy and floral. Thin body, orange zest, pine, light bitterness, very good.

A golden ale with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, nice fruity malt with light orange pulp, light tropical fruits, nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with light orange pulp, light mineral notes, grassy hops, OK. On tap at Flashback Lounge.

Got in a BIF from berloserLI. 12 ounce bottle into pint glass, no bottle dating. Pours slightly hazy/cloudy golden orange color with a 1 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big blood orange, grapefruit, lemon zest, orange peel, light pine, cracker, bread, light honey, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity citrus hops, blood orange, and moderate pale malt flavors; with good strength. Taste of blood orange, grapefruit, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, cracker, bread, light honey, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate amount of pine/citrus peel bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of blood orange, grapefruit, lemon/orange peel, pine, cracker, bread, light honey, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance, robustness, and complexity of citrus/pine hops, blood orange, and moderate pale malt flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, fairly sticky, and slightly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warmth lingering after the finish. Overall this is a very nice fruited pale ale style. All around good balance, complexity, and robustness of citrus/pine hops, blood orange, and moderate pale malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.
