Very dark brown body, just shy of opaque. Thin tan head. The aroma is roast malts and cocoa powder. Rich and roasty flavor. Stops right before a burnt flavor. Minimal sweetness to balance.

Can from Beer Table Pantry. Pours dark brown with a big tan head. Nice roasted malt, some coffee and chocolate.

Can: Poured a dark clear brown color beer with a generous light brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of sublime coffee notes with well-balanced caramelized malt notes. Taste is also dominated by great coffee beans notes with almost no astringency or overly dry notes. Malt backbone is solid with good caramelized notes and no overly dry roasted malt notes with light residual sugar notes. Body is lighter then I was expecting for a 10% ABV beer with great carbonation and no apparent alcohol. I find it hard to distinguish the porter and thought this was more akin to a strong brown ale with loads of coffee.

Poured from a bottle dark brown slight head aroma of brandy. It tastes of bitter chocolate that lingers on the palate

From a can shared with Kermis. Pours a clear cola brown with a bubbly, quickly dissipating head. Aroma of chocolate and a hint of licorice. Licorice comes out more strongly in the taste. Lingering bitter finish.

Can shared thanks to iphonephan. Pours dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma of chocolate, roast, coffee and some caramel. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Little fucken can @ home. Pours a dark brown appearance with a big, fluffy dark brown head. Coffee, toasted malty, a bit roasty, chocolate, toffee, herbal, a bit earthy aroma. Tangy, a bit goopy, toffee/burnt sugar, dark chocolate, coffee flavor. Sort of goopy and sweet. Not horrible but a bit over the top for me.

Purchased at a place that sells alcoholic beverages in Chicago, IL; enjoyed during a fantasy football draft on a weeknight which is taking FOREVER. This stuff is pretty awesome though. Appearance is a dark brown with a moderate off white / tan head. Aroma is very beany, which is appropriate, mostly coffee beans as well as a touch of chocolate malt and cocoa. Taste goes down a bit tinny but is overall a nice beverage, definite roasted malt. This tastes a bit tinny, but it’s not really a bad thing. I’m a fan.

12 fl oz bottle. Pours hazy brown with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted malty and breadish and caramelish. Bitter, toffee and liqourice. Bitter and crisp hoppy nto a roasted malty and liqourice finish. Solid coffee and alcohol dense finish.

Can during the High Speed Tasting Pt. I on the train to the Black Country Bus Tour. Thanks to Ian for this Brooklynite. Pours clear brown with a creamy beige head. Sugary, creamy cocoa nose, light filter coffee notes. Medium sweet flavor with bitter earth, lightly astringent coffee, bitter cocoa, some dry dark fruits. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Warming finish with dry cocoa, bitter espresso, strong roasted malts, bitter earth, burnt wood. Good stuff.
