Tap at Craft Islington, 21/02/13 as 1000 IBU Light. Hazed dark amber with a large frothy white head that retains well. Nose is hops, grass, sugars, caramel malt. Taste comprises orange, hops, pine, residual sugars, bitter grapefruit. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, dry finish with hop bitterness. OK.

On tap at Craft Beer Co, Islington as 1000 IBU Light, on 10th February 2013. Hazy copper with white head and lacing bands. Yeasty hoppy aroma. Aggressively and intensely bitter in-mouth. Single direction bitterness "assault". Finish is mych the same. Slightly grainiy, engaging texture. Intense lingering bitter taste in whole mouth in the lengthy gaps between sips. Very much an acquired taste, I loved it for its aggressive intensity.

Pours amber to blonde - not as dark as expected Small white foam . Scent is bitter hops, not extreme Taste is indeed one hell of a bitter bomb , wich fades into a very bitter aftertaste . I prefer the normal version of this way more , but this is so extreme everyone should try it !

Rating number 1000! 11.2oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a cloudy, dark orange with about 3 fingers of thick khaki head. You can smell bitter in the aroma. Also, a little sweet. Citrus dominates but there is a little pine and caramel to back it up. Taste is heavily bitter. I get some pine with very minimal citrus. It’s mostly just bitter. Light bodied with a thin texture. Flat carbonation and a very long, very bitter finish. Overall, I dig it. To the people who say they don’t like it because it’s too bitter and unbalanced, what did you expect when you bought a beer that says it’s 1000 ibu?

Bottled, 0.33l. Cloudy copper color with mid-sized frothy tan head and lively carbonation. Aroma of fresh spicy hops, citruses, forest fruits and light caramel note. Taste starts sweetish fruity while immediately turned into a hop bomb. Aftertaste is never ending sweet and bitter hoppiness. Full body, thick texture and average carbonation in palate. One of the best beer aromas, while taste is too bitter to "chew" it easily...

Bottled 330ml. -at Brewberry, Paris. Cloudy orange/amber coloured, small to medium sized off-white head, very aromatic grapefruity hoppy nose. Heavy bitter grapefruity hoppy taste with notes of caramel and heavy bitterness in the finish and aftertaste. One-dimensional, unbalanced and a way too bitter brew.

Orange-copper with a big head. Grassy aroma, not much really going on. Humongous bitterness. With some grass and weeds. That’s about all. Maybe a bit of honey. The hops are actually syrupy. Thoroughly unpleasant, though certainly worth a sip as a novelty.

Bottle. Pours a clear amber orange with a tan head with a white head that lasts throughout the beer and laces slightly. Aroma has a very strong resinous note with a hint of grapefruit and pine. Flavor is extremely resinous as well with a strong dank pine note and really not much else.

Opaque dark golden colour with an off white head. Hoppy aroma....what else..I am glad this was on tap. I do think this would be hopless to drink after many monts on a bottle. Hoppjuice extract. The bartender had a deep look into my eyes when I ordered a pint of this. Anyway I really enjoyed it. Extreme hoppy bot not any overdose bitterness. Some fruity and malty notes. One more please!
