Bottled. Poured a medium opaque brown, mild head. Strong bourbon notes obviously, lots of cherries and some vanilla. Good enough.

Bottle at home. Copper pour, beige head. Nose is sweet bready malts, bourbon, vanilla, booze. Taste is almost only booze, unpleasant, burning alcohol, almost no traces of the bourbon ba, or in fact, the base beer. Closes with sweet finish, alcohol burn again. Light to medium body, soft carbo. Expected much, much more from this.

Bottle @ Fox and Hounds, Sønderborg. Amber, almost clear, slightly oily body with a small tan head. Aroma is strong, almost intense with lots of dry fruit and quite vinous with hint of wood. Flavor is very sweet, but not sticky, dry fruit, oak, hint of vanilla, caramel and some warming alcohol but otherwise the alcohol is well hidden. Fine body and long lasting aftertaste. A very nice and quite beer that has this thing I use to describe as “dead” in a positive meaning (the opposite of fresh, but quite and solid).

Very dark brown pour, with a large beige head. Loads of oak, caramel malts with some roast. Notes of vanilla, cherries, plums, and earthy hops. The barrel doesnt overpower, but compliments. Incredibly balanced, and a great sipper. Loved it.

Bottle from Stanislaus Brewkovitch, Zwolle. Aroma is caramel malt, toffee, Bourbon, oak, dried fruits, figs, some vanilla, heavy butterscotch, touch of tobacco and light booze. Flavour is sweet with a light bitterness in the finish. Body is full with a little alcohol. Pretty daunting beer, rich and sweet, I can understand why this is regarded an elite Scotch Ale, I am just not generally drawn to this butterscotch-heavy profile.
