Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Comes as "Tilburg 2009 Winterbier". Pours a clear deep amber with an off-white head. Aroma of roasted malts, honey and alcohol. Solid body, caramel and overripe fruits. Discreetly bitter, but it’s the massive alcohol burn that dominates the finish. 031009

330ml bottle (lotnr.B) matured in my cellar after I bought it at The London Drinker festival in March 08. Pours a huge, frothy beige head, slowly diminishing over a deep brown, red-tinted body. Very hazy last pour with all the sediments. Smell of ripe apples plus malt and grain. Sweet hoppy taste that brings a potpourri of figs, prunes and plums, with some overpowering hints of candy sugar. Warming yeast and alcohol to the ending. Decent winter season beer [Tromsø, 05.12.2008].

Bottle at Kent BF 08. Slight haze, reddy copper colouor. Slight yeast with rich red fruit aroma, slight sourness. Sweeter fruit in mouth, but the alcohol isn’t overly present. A strong strawberry jam type beer. Gets better as it warms up. A good fruity winter beer.
