Can at The Osprey 10Kay. Thanks to new Dave. It pours hazy sunset orange with a medium white head. The aroma is soft, mellow, muted, fragrant, tangerine and marmalade. The taste I dry, soft, bitter - sweet, juicy tangerine, tangy orange marmalade, bit of spice and wood with a drying finish. Medium body and fine carbonation.. Alcohol booze kick creeps up on you. Not bad.

Can split at the Osprey 10K tasting, CBC Islington, big thanks to Dave 21/03/18. Lightly hazed golden with a well presented off white covering. Nose is caramel malts, orange pith, citric tinged straw, toasted grains, Old Skool exhaust. Taste comprises orange peel, grapefruit, toasted malts, caramel, biscuit, sticky tropicana. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, semi drying close with sticky hop bitterness. Average to passable for the style ... too sweet for me.

Can 330ml (BB 17.04.2018 -labelled Canis Major IIPA). Hazy, amber colour. Big, yellowish head, good lacing. Aroma is malty with caramel and toast notes, heavy, in sweet way with a lot of hops with tropical fruits note behind. Medium to high bitternes is balanced by malty body. Beer is dry, bitter at the begining and full of sweetness at the end. There is also delicate booze which burns in the throat so it seems that bitterness is long and aggresive but should be in beer with more than 100 IBU. Very good IIPA, quite light and drinkable like for 8 ABV.

From a 330ml can (labelled Canis Major IIPA). Pours a deep dark golden with a medium head. The nose is very gorgeous - oodles of caramel, toffee and lots of fruity hops.Very malt driven flavour wise with more toffee and caramel, along with orange marmalade and apricot. The hops are pronounced and quite resiny, providing nice balance. Has a slick texture and moderate carbonation. Juicy complex and extremely flavoursome. A lovely surprise and way better than current ratings on here would suggest. I shall be revisiting.

On tap at Alehouse Project. Very foresty nose. A big pine forest that is. This is all about the resiny hops, and that shapes the mouth feel. The malts offset the bitterness well to make for a surprisingly balanced and drinkable double IPA (dare I say ’sessionable’??)
