Bottle from the brewery in Geelong. Hazy light amber. Aroma is mostly fruity, canned peaches and pears. Light bitterness, sweet limey caramel. Quite estery. Drinkable but unexciting.

Mild aroma of pit fruits and honey. Amber body with minimal wispy head. Taste is sweet malt, apples, and a hint of toffee. Chalky finish with mild lingering dry finish

There’s an unpleasant sweetness when this lands on the tongue, whichgives way to some pleasant bitterness but also a strong, metallic aftertaste. I’m biased a little against Belgian malts and so don’t love the sweet, banana aroma either. Not a great beer.

On tap@ Pyrmont Bay hotel. Slight citrus nose, cloudy yellow with small head. Spritzy with a mineral/chalky mouthfeel. Unusual. Acidic/sour aftertaste. Nice alternative to the usual Aussie suspects.

(Bottle) Clear coppery deep amber with negligible head. Lovely aroma - sweet malts and hints of tropical fruit. Medium body and carbonation. Taste is malt driven with some delicate fruity notes in the foretaste and mid-palate, developing some, perhaps harsh, bitterness that crisps up the finish. Overall, pleasant enough.

From a 330ml bottle on 23/9/2014. Pours a clear golden with a small head. There’s not much of a nose - some grain and just a hint of fruit. In the mouth, there’s a bit more to it. You get a fair bit of sweet fruit follows by a spicy sharpness, leading to a medium bitterness, before more fruit hits again. Light bodies with average carbonation. Decent but fails to provide any excitement.

Copper pour with an off-white head. Fruity and a light hop bite. A bit of the Belgian yeast showing through but this one wasn’t a flavor powerhouse, really. Good but it needed more to it.

Bottle. Palm Speciale glass. 10C. Clear pale amber with an off white head that’s soon less than a coat. Aroma has caramel, toast, spices, a distinctive herbal orange and lemon (that I’ve only noticed before in Grand Ridge’s Hoppy Frog and I guess might well be Triskel). Rather thin, carbonation is perhaps a little low. Sweet caramel and hints of red berries, herbal citrus, dry at the end with moderate bitterness. Well made and quite classy but just a little underpowered for my tastes.
