Pours dark copper with an off-white head.Nose shows chocolate, soft peat, burnt brown sugar and toasty malt.Flavours have a stronger focus on the peat followed by the sweet bready and toasty malt. A little warming booze in the finish.Carbonation is much too lively especially for the style.

Tasting at Bruce’s pad. Big thanks to our main man down under - Josh. Hazy deep amber beer, good pale cream colour head. Airy palate, good fine minerally carbonation. Light and sweetish caramel malt. A whisper of smoke. Mellow tangy fruits. Light semi dry finish. Good for the style and a decent beer.

Bottle split at Bruce’s pad, big thanks to the Man Licker for shipping this one to us, FACK ! 04/11/14. Hazed amber with a moderate beige covering. Nose is caramel, grain, hint vegetal, dark fruits, light smoke. Taste comprises caramel, sweet licks, black pepper tunes, light smoke infusion, fruit rinds. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent enough offering especially for the style.

Bottle shared in London - big thanks to Josh. Pours hazy gold with a frothy off-white head. Nice aroma, mild smoke, meat, toffee. Medium sweet flavor with nice smoked meat, honey, ham, toffee, light peat, toasted grains, earth. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Lightly warming on the finish, more smoked meat, ham, toffee, leaves, some orange peel. Pretty nice,

Bottle thanks to young manny. It pours deep mahogany with a thick yellow-tan head. The nose is rich, bitter-sweet, berry, jammy, fruit cake, mild spice and sugar. The taste is bitter-sweet, mild sourness and acidity, wood, dried berry, jam, some bitterness, candy cane, leaf and earth with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Tasty. Top echelon Scotch ale.

Bottle, 14C. Clear dark reddish amber with a large beige head that lasts well. Rich aroma of dark fruit, deeply toasted malt, dried seaweed, chocolate. Too much carbonation - better after a few swirls, but -.1. Rich fruit and toasty/ roasted flavours, firm spicy bitterness creeps up. Smoky bitter finish. Really good.
