A strong pale ale that first appeared at GABS 2013 and that unifies the favoured hop of each of Burleigh brewery’s five members – “Galaxy (punchy Benny), El Dorado (sweet Mike), Citra (smoooooth Sean), Mosaic (complex Kieron), Belma (tropical Hawaiian Brennan) – and does so by striking a balance between the five of them.

On tap at Burleigh Brewing, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma brings out some strange hoppy notes and dry biscuity notes. Flavour is fruity and hoppy, with stone fruits and light biscuity malt. Not hugely pleasant but it's reasonably clean. Okay.

Bottle thanks to Big man Davey. It pours clear amber with a small white head. The nose is zesty, tangy, creamy, orange squash, earth and citrus. The taste is toasty, orange sponge cake, tropical fruits, earth, light alcohol and a bit of skunk with a dry, bitter finish. Medium body and average carbonation. Pretty tasty gear.

Bottle split at Craft 100, big thanks to WingmanWillis, 03/04/14. Lightly hazed orange amber with a moderate off white head. Nose is punchy NZ hoppage, skunky, pine wank, pissy, dank, grapefruit, mandarin. Taste comprises skunky hops, mandarin, bitter grapefruit, straw, juicy citrics, orange pith. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi aggressive hop bitterness in the close. Super solid skunked up sessioner, I could drink gallons of this bastard!

Craft100 fest at Craft Clapham. Off piste thanks to Big Dave for bringing this to share. Hazy amber beer, decent pale cream coloured head. Palate is light and smooth with fine carbonation. Sweetish airy malts, some cream. Light tropical fruit hops in good balance. Finishes soft and airy with a little hop spice. Well put together and very drinkable.

From a 650ml bottle on 18/12/2013. Pours a clear dark golden with a small head. Has a pleasant tropical and stone fruit aroma. Take a sip and you get sweet toasty malt and a lot more sweet tropical and stone fruit, and just enough bitterness to balance things out a bit. Has a medium body and medium to lively carbonation. This is a little on the sweet side and would be improved by a dash more hop zing, but it’s a pretty solid APA.

Bottle. Clear amber with a white head. Aroma of caramel under loads of tropical and citrus fruit - passionfruit, gooseberry, mango, leafy lemon, orange peel. Not a riot of hop aroma, everything plays nicely together. Sweet with caramel just playing a supporting role under the fruity hops. Wished there was less of it. Bitter finish is brief - there’s a burst then it fades rapidly.
