18th July 2008. A complex porter with no bitterness or dryness. Smooth chocolatey dark malt with a pleasant sour tang presumably coming from the whiskey. The barreling adds another dimension. A lovely porter that can stand shoulder to shoulder with a lot of RISs out there.

Bottle. Not as good as the regular gonzo. This one is a bit more shy. Interesting mint tone in taste.

Bottled:
Pours dark -as good as black- brown with a mid-sized head. The oak barrels dominate the aroma with some small hints of vanilla and coconut. Sweet and warming flavour with notes of oak and liquorice. The alcohol gives it a somewhat harsh finish.
