From a 330ml bottle on 20/5/2013. Pours a cloudy amber with a smallish head. Has a quite a sharp fruity aroma. The flavour follows suit, with sharp, tangy sweet fruity notes - particularly stewed plums and cherries. Has a big distinct bitter citrus hop kick. The palate is a little creamy an the carbonation medium. It might prove to be a little too full on for some, but this is quite an unusual beer which is full of character. A nice one from Grand Ridge.

Pours ruby-tinged dark amber with a lasting head and lacing.Nose shows rich caramel, toasty, nutty and light roasted malt by the truckload. Very nice! Underneath is some faint hops, but you can’t really call it American, just a subtle hint of resin. Still, really delightful.Flavours include more of the same dark malt followed by a sharp bitterness. Seems to be lacking a bit in the mid-palate.Nice creamy body and moderate carbonation.

Bottle. Brooding reddish amber with a dense beige head that laces nicely. Aroma of nectarines, kumquats, herbs and caramel. Taste has nutty/ toasted malt, some stone fruit and citrus. Brief bitter finish. Medium bodied - quite light for the malt balancing the bitterness. I don’t think ESA is the right place for this - maybe Amber ale. A shift towards the newfangled for this brewery and a good beer.[3.5] Mouthfeel seems both creamier and cleaner than last time. Fruity and malty with earthy and resinous bitterness that cruises through the sweetness with ease. Classy balance. Tasty stuff.

Tap at the White Horse Pub, London. Pours a rich, dark amber-ruby with a creamy, off-white head. Strong malt aroma, with caramel, ripened fruit, and toffee. Very sweet flavor with rich, full malts, followed by an earthy, herbal bitterness. Medium to full in body with fine carbonation. Has a strong, sweet malt finish with plenty of toffee and fruit, followed by a lasting, very earthy bitteress. Very good beer.

Amber brown with thick head. Looks good. Caramel and chocolate aroma is rich and enjoyable. Some toast, light caramel but also some chewiness. Good brew.
