Nydelig modning. Takk til Frode for flaska. Snodig nok dro den i tørr-spitaltig retning mer enn i Cognac. Interessant opplevelse.

Well stored bottle, sampled in October 2020. Clear deep amber body under a small, lacing beige head. Nice aroma with strong malt, smooth caramel, dry fruit and pleasant oxidation. Taste is super smooth, malty, dry fruit and nicely oxidated as aroma. Fine body and long lasting, nice aftertaste. A solid, well made dobelbock.

500ml bottle bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Steady, off-white head. Clear dark brown coloured body. Spotty lacing. Caramel malty smell, dry. Taste of dried fruits, nuts and brown malts, distant notes of cognac. Woody. Ends rather sweet with traces of marmalade. Well body. Decent beer, just a tad too sweet. (Shared at a session with TheCellarer, Snegurochka and Finn, Tromsø 09.03.2019).

On tap at Haand Festival. A clear amber colored beer with a minimal sized off-white head. Caramel, roasted notes and some pine cones in the aroma. A bit simple perhaps, but pleasant. It’s quite sweet on the palate, lightly alcohol warming and with a subtle bitterness. Nice carbonation and a full body. Caramel, bready malts, roasted notes and some piney hops in the flavor, with a lasting finish. A bit warming and lacking on complexity this one, but it’s a fine brew for sure. Had it some months later as well, and my impression was confirmed.160528

Draft sample @ Haand fest ’16, Drammen. Shared with the Norwegian tasting crew.
