5%, iflg etiketten.

Presented as Eric Bordelet Poiré , 4.5% Small white head, fed by fine pearling in faintly pinkish tinted golden liquid. Fruity nose, more apples than pears it would seem. After some time, an aroma as from Poire William liqueur, all the same. Very cidery, faint hint at caramel. Pretty sour in taste, with a sweet apple-caramel flavour always overlying. Really tart, bit earthy warming up. Titillating feel from the acidity and the CO². Quite slick, as pressed fruitjuice, slightly condensed. Good, but I've had much better perries in the UK.

Rerate, 750 ml corked & caged bottle, as Eric Bordelet Poiré Authentique, from Être Gourmet, Belgium. ABV is 5%. Clear and very pale straw colour, pours sparkling with a moderate head that actually lasts a while. Aroma of pears, a hint of sulphites. Flavour of pears with some acidity (probably over the top already), hints of sulphites. Original rating: 330 ml bottle, simply called Eric Bordelet Poiré, but I assume this is the same perry, with \"Authentique\" reserved for the corked 750 ml bottles. The ABV, however, is 4.5%, not 4% as Bordelet's home page says. Bottle bought from Être Gourmet, Belgium. Very pale yellow colour, pours sparkling with a shortlived white head. Moderate aroma of pears. Semi-dry (or semi-sweet, if you like) flavour of pears, a hint of sulfites. Nice enough to drink, but not extraordinary.

Bottle from SB. Clear yellowish, foamy white head that dissipates quickly. Zesty aroma and taste with prominent pear, some apples. Rich and sweet. Lovely stuff!

2016 vintage bottle shared with Mrs Scopey. It pours crystal clear yellow - gold with a thick, fluffy white head. The aroma is fresh, bright, sweet - sour, zingy, tart pear, sweet apple pie with custard, custard creams abd white grape. The taste is crisp, bright, zingy, sweet - sour, some fruity pucker, sherbet, juicy bright pear, spritzy, apple pie with custard, appletiser with a crunchy pear finish. Medium body and spritzy, effervescent carbonation. Fun stuff and plenty of flavour for the abv. A bit sweet perhaps, but enjoyable nonetheless.

Bottle, thanks Davido. Big pear aroma, lightly spicy, bit of funk. Taste is oaky, bit of plastic, pear. Very nice in spite of what it might sound from some of what I've written. Apple fritters...

Bottle. Fine pearling with a light green shine. Nice pearskin, dry fruity, a hint core, dry sparkly, nice and elegant.
