Kopi Luwak is one of the World's most expensive and rare coffee varieties. The beans are specifically selected for their ripeness and quality by the civet, a small jungle marsupial that feeds off the fruit of the coffee cherry. They are then gathered by humans from the jungle floors of Indonesia, thoroughly cleaned, and sun-dried. A precise roasting by San Diego's Ryan Bros. coffee leads to an extremely aromatic and exceptionally smooth final product that complements this imperial stout amazingly well. Good to the last dropping!

75 cl bottle (12%) @ PBF Ⅸ Huge thanks to mr. tiong!
Aroma has mocha coffee, some tobacco, dark chocolate, ash and vegetables typical to coffee beers. Flavour has mocha, some dark and bitter chocolate and vegetables typical to mocha beers. Alcohol is well hidden and this is even a bit thin for this ABV. Alcohol notes get stronger towards the end of the glass. Rather good, but I must say that I expected more.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a nice large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma consists of deep roasted barley malt with notes of dry coffee also dominating. Taste is a mix between some deep dry roasted malt notes with bitter and dry coffee notes which almost veers into astringency territory. Body is quite full with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Good but almost too extreme on the coffee side which diminish the drinkability.

Bottle at California 10k shared by dodgrblu. Aroma is coffee, but seems a rather high class coffee. Med body or better. Flavor is extremely tasty coffee and a little chocolate. Finishes light/slightly treacle/malty. Delicious.

750ml bottle shared by Brad. Wow. Mellow, especially for the ABV. Choco-coffee aroma. Perfect mouthfeel, very impressive, completely perfect on the palate. Big coffee, refined molasses awesomeness. World Class coffee beer all the way.
